German Estates: Dirk Heinemann Sandblasted Freehand Sitter with Bamboo Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-005-6558

German artisan Dirk Heinemann came to pipe carving after working as a furniture designer, using his experience to impressive effect with innovative and unique designs. This Freehand Sitter is a fine example of Heinemann's experimental style, resembling an Elephant's Foot with an extended front face that doubles as a steady heel that supports the pipe. Out back, the shank is dominated by a dark bamboo extension, curling softly upward to join an abbreviated vulcanite saddle stem. Dressed in a rich, earthy, sandblast, the stummel offers a wealth of texture around the bowl, while the smooth rim boasts streaks of fine grain.
