German Estates: Dirk Heinemann Sandblasted Cherrywood with Bamboo Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-005-6775
Displaying a strong forward-urging sense of momentum, this Cherrywood from Dirk Heinemann is yet another fine example of the compact designs found in the talented German carver's portfolio. In this presentation, the canted bowl flares toward the rim from a narrow, angled, and flattened base, enabling it to sit sturdily and confirming its desktop readiness. This piece is imbued with an elevated organic aesthetic thanks to a single knuckle of dark bamboo that comprises most of the shank, save the raised transition. The high-kicking combination of bamboo extension and stem are stylishly unified, with the domed base of the jet-black, vulcanite mouthpiece continuing the circular disposition established by the node of bamboo. The stummel is dressed in a dark ruby sandblast, highlighting gorgeous ring grain stacked up the bowl, nicely contrasting with the bamboo's color.
