German Estates: Design Berlin Premier Acorn with Silver (459) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-005-6887
In 1948, following the second World War, Hubert Hartmann founded the Pfeifenstudio Hartmann factory, which later rebranded to Design Berlin in 1975. Design Berlin is one of Germany's largest pipe manufacturers, second only to Vauen, producing individualized shapes, such as this Acorn. An impressively robust design, this piece boasts over six inches of length and a bowl over two inches tall, providing both a substantive in-hand presence and a capacious tobacco chamber. As is the case with all of Design Berlin's "Premier" offerings, this piece boasts a unique dress: a warm smooth finish embellished by grooved channels around the bowl.
