German Estates: Vauen Azzurro (1566) (9mm) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-005-6899

Vauen's roots date to 1848 when Karl Ellenberger and Carl August Zeiner founded Germany's first pipe factory. Near the turn of the century, they merged with Gebhard Ott to form Vereinigten Pfeifenfabriken Nürnber, "Nuremberg United Pipe Factories," phonetically rendering the VPFN abbreviation "Vauen." Since then, the German marque has gained a loyal following of pipe smokers, especially those who appreciated 9mm filters. The Azzuro series, translating to "light blue" in Italian, is one of Vauen's most vibrant, colorful series and is designated by "15" in the shape code. It's defined by a vivid blue stain and smooth finish paired to an elegant metallic accent and amber-hued acrylic stem for a hint of vintage styling, and the motif is presented here on the German marque's robust "66" Apple.
