German Estates: Peter Klein Smooth Pot (E) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-005-6916

A German artisan, Peter Klein was educated as a carpenter and has been making pipes since 1988, though he moved to Denmark in 2007 and increased his pipe production in kind. A carver with exacting standards, Klein uses high-quality materials and offers sophisticated designs, reflected by this stout Pot. Coming in at less than five inches long, this piece encroaches on Nosewarmer territory and boasts some hearty substance about its build, with a thick shank tapering subtly out of its wide transition. This shank reaches out to meet a more sleekly tapering stem of black vulcanite, one whose diminution pushes the majority of this pipe's visual weight onto the bowl. Said bowl stands on a rounded heel and grows squat, robust walls that are thicker than they are tall, complete with an extremely subtle flare to the rim and a broad, well-insulated chamber. Dressed in a warm, smooth finish, the stummel displays handsome grain throughout, with a wrapping pattern of flame surrounding the bowl and handsome birdseye across the rim.
