About This Pipe
The replacement stem on this old Premier Selection pipe may have come from a Peterson, it is still a replacement stem nonetheless, and so knocks a good chunk off the asking price of this Pre-Republic vintage briar. If you aren't picky about your pipes being all-original, this is a good chance to acquire a rare bit of Peterson history - not to mention a rare shape as well. I'm not even sure if the "406" is still made, as this broad-bowled, slender-stemmed Prince design ceased being imported to the US years and years ago. What I do know for certain is that the only examples we've ever handled (very few, and very far between) have all been estate pipes.
