Irish Estates: Peterson Kildare Silver Mounted (B10) (P-Lip) (1998)
Product Number: 004-004-9544
Like all of Peterson's "B" family shapes, which merge elements of several designs to create attractive and unique hybrids, the Irish marque's "B10" occupies a pretty eccentric spot — not exactly a classic shape, but featuring classical components to its overall design. If you look hard enough, you can find hints of the bent Dublin, Calabash, and Rhodesian shapes alike, yet the overall design still comes off cohesive and well-knit.
Similar to the Aran series, Peterson's Kildare Silver Mounted line displays a traditional color palette, pairing of chocolatey walnut stains with jet-black mouthpieces to give each pipe a timeless, traditional look. However, the main difference between the Aran and Kildare lines is the accent work — the Aran displays nickel mounts, while the Kildare opts for sterling silver. Not only does it highlight Peterson's highly respected and renowned silver work, it ensures each piece is as classic as it is handsome.- Jeffery Sitts
