On Peterson's regular-production shape chart, the "53" denotes the Irish marque's archetypal Lovat interpretation. This version, however, isn't stamped as the "53" and differs slightly from Peterson's standard rendition: Most notably, the shank is a touch longer and leaner than the "53," drawing further prominence to the stolid Billiard bowl up front. It remains a highly traditional version of the historic Lovat, replete with an abbreviated saddle stem and here dressed in a smooth finish and accented by a sterling silver band.
