Irish Estates: Peterson Donegal Rocky with Silver (998) (P-Lip) (1970) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-004-13633
This vintage "998" from Peterson is a fetching rendition of the classic Rhodesian shape. As is usual for the form, the bowl here is stocky and muscular, its thick walls rising from a round heel and flaring upward to a breadline-wrapped waist, before tapering inward to a flat rim. Said bowl is posed at the fore of an upturned shank and a steeply curved tapered stem, the latter of which promotes a comfortable smoking posture. The rugged Donegal Rocky rustication dresses the ensemble and lends a wealth of tactile detail to the stummel, while a silver band accents the junction and provides a touch of flash to the pipe's otherwise reserved palette.
