Irish Estates: Peterson Smooth Spigot (Pipes & Tobaccos Magazine Pipe of the Year) (90/250) (502) (2003) (Fishtail) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-004-13792
Pipes and Tobaccos magazine was for many years the preeminent publication for pipe smokers worldwide. It provided quarterly editions with detailed accounts of pipe makers, pipe making, pipe tobaccos, and tobacco blending. Not only did P&T expand knowledge across the pipe-smoking community, it curated the community and has left an indelible mark on the industry even after it closed its doors. While still in production, the magazine commissioned a special pipe of the year from a single maker each year in limited quantities. For 2003, Peterson made that annual pipe, depicting a bold Apple design embellished by a sterling-silver spigot mount. One such rendition is offered here in a smooth finish and serialized out of the total 250 crafted that year.
