Italian Estates: Alberto Bonfiglioli Sandblasted Bent Brandy (IV) (Y) (O.B.B) (VII) (2009)

Product Number: 004-006-8963

Alberto Bonfiglioli has had somewhat of a love affair with the Hawkbill shape. In many of his pieces spanning our archives you can see him flirting with the arched shank, but still playing coy. But this isn't a blind passion--in fact, he uses it only when it truly fits the design, seen as very naturally adjoined in pieces like this bent Brandy: stout and compact in form, the shank has been widened accordingly to the bowl's chubby proportions, and finished with a like stem.
