Italian Estates: L' Artigiana Sandblasted Freehand
Product Number: 004-006-9773
With little information on L' Artigiana and only a few pipes in our archives, the most I can gather is that the name of the carver is likely Cesare Barontini. Generally he is not well known in the States, but he has made pipes for many, many other brands from the higher end Cristiano line (not currently, but in the late 1990s and early 2000s) to the higher end Aldo Velani pipes, and of course many others. Cesare, from what I can tell, has a range of styles and shapes, as he can carve up both the very traditional and wildly freehand, alike. This piece is a great example of the latter, a sharply bent Dublin-esque Freehand, akin to the Danish 'Fancy' school - with plenty of Italian flair in the finish and accenting features.
We are sorry, but this pipe has sold. Look below to find similar pipes.
