Italian Estates: Castello Old Antiquari Hawkbill (84) (KKKK)
Product Number: 004-006-16335
Here in the Castello "84" shape we have the original Hawkbill, by which I mean Castello is where the Hawkbill shape originates. Some used to attribute this distinctively aquiline variation on the Apple to Luigi Radice, as he not only worked at Castello at the time it first appeared, but also went on to make a lot of them as an independent artisan. Luigi himself, however, says otherwise — though he couldn't actually recall who did come up the design. I suppose we'll simply never know. This finely sandblasted Old Antiquari rendition is still in great condition.
