This is a (somewhat) older Cavicchi, judging by the presence of a "C" stamp - he stopped using those on anything but smooth briars around 2009. That would also make this one of Claudio's early sandblasts, as he didn't begin sandblasting until 2006. While his present-day sandblasts are a little deeper and noticeably better defined, it's clear that even early on he knew how to pick the right block for the density of its rings. Aside from a little rim darkening, condition is good.
