Italian Estates: Don Carlos Semicroma Notturno Freehand with Boxwood (36) (Unsmoked)

Product Number: 004-006-20923

There's a Castello 55-ish sort of thing going on with this fellow from Bruto Sordini. This is a result of the bold, pronounced heel which leads the shape forward in profile. Unlike the famous bent Pot shape, however, this fellow is arrow-straight in silhouette, with the only impression of curvature being seen up front at the rearward-sweeping bowl, and in the slightest bit of elegant flare at the shank. Said shank terminates in a gentle lip of boxwood just before the saddle stem, serving to lend the composition a touch of visual balance. It's finished in a warm, smokey contrast, and is still in excellent, unsmoked condition.
