Italian Estates: Radice Rind Hawkbill (2014)
Product Number: 004-006-22505
No other name is more commonly associated with the Hawkbill than Radice; Luigi was working at Castello way back when this distinctive style of pipe first appeared there, and he has at times even been credited with inventing it. (He denies this though, it should be noted.) Over the years since, Luigi has probably made more Hawkbills than any other artisan out there. That having been said, this is one of the smallest Radice Hawkbills I've yet seen - and I've seen a lot of them. Frankly, it's a shame I haven't seen more at this scale, as the rounded bowl and arched shank do make for a very pleasing combination rendered in handy proportions.- Daniel Bumgardner
