Italian Estates: Becker Sandblasted Strawberry Wood Bent Stack (Three Clubs) (2012)
Product Number: 004-006-24699
Having been made in 2012, this bent Stack was fashioned when Paolo Becker was still alive (the name and iconic style of the Becker brand now continued by his son Federico). It also comes from the earlier stages of Paolo's use of strawberry wood as a pipemaking medium. Tall yet rather slender of style, this piece features the signature pointed heel associated with Becker pipes, but every other aspect remains soft-lined and sinuous. The sandblasted strawberry wood showcases an eccentric array of grain, more wild and abnormal than briar, and it's all paired to a cumberland mouthpiece — completely the iconic Becker aesthetic.-Truett Smith
