Playfulness doesn't always come in twists and turns, as this straight Billiard from Mastro Beraldi goes to show. With some overly-plump proportions to its shank, as well as a touch of Brandy-esque taper to its bowl, it's a piece that plays with the traditional shape — and looks good while doing so. Especially considering it's dressed in a crisp, jet black sandblast and accented by a bright metal band along the shank end, resulting in a briar that's as handsome as it is whimsical.
