Italian Estates: Caminetto Smooth Bent Egg (0.L.12)
Product Number: 004-006-24940
In 1968, Guiseppe Ascorti and Luigi Radice left their work at Castello to make their own line of pipes under the Caminetto name. Since then, "The Pipe with the Mustache" has become one of the most well known Italian pipemaking companies, creating several recognizable designs. Seen here is Caminetto's "148" bent Egg that features a pleasantly plump bowl up front as well as a protruding heel spur directly underneath the transition that gives the design its unique silhouette. Following the tightly-knit transition, the shank subtly flares out before terminating at the downturned stem that proudly displays Caminetto's signature mustache logo along its topside.- Jeffery Sitts
