Italian Estates: L'Anatra Pettinate Stack with Silver (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe

One of L'Anatra's more traditional designs, this Stack forgoes much of Massimo and Andrea's playful Pesaro flair in favor of a more streamlined, classically English look. It's also one of the workshop's largest numbers, offering an immensely deep chamber inside of the towering bowl. And while many makers and marques have produced their own type of striated rustication over the years, L'Anatra's Pettinate variant is perhaps my favorite. The sheer density of the wire brushed-style finish, paired with a semi-gloss, ebony stain and a sterling silver accent, makes for a decidedly classy aesthetic. Unsmoked.
