The Sherlock Holmes series from Ardor is one of the longest standing regular lines from the venerable Northern Italian pipe making family. This, the tenth shape in the series, is a whimsical merger of the classic Calabash and Foursquare designs and marks the first time we've seen this design as an estate. The sinuous, serpentine profile of the Calabash is paired to the neat, architectural panels of the incredibly muscular, palm-filling bowl. The stummel's finished in the rugged texture of the workshop's Urano rustication, with its broad rim left smooth for some subtle contrast. The acrylic stem's swirling mix of murky orange and black colors complements the stummel's light stummel rather nicely and allows the stummel to garner much of the visual attention.
