Eye-catching and boasting plenty of chamber, this wonderfully handsome Cherrywood from Ser Jacopo is, of course, a perfect sitter, with its iconic flat heel. Strongly resembling a judge's gavel, the bowl boasts a forward-inclining profile and a cap-like rim. A muscular, gently arcing shank and stem arrangement pleasantly balance the height of the bowl. Dressed in a dark, ruby-tinged stain, the sandblast reveals some handsomely striated ring grain and is further commended by an accent of smooth briar along the stem base.
