Compared to the Freehands found in Ser Jacopo's Insanus series, this offering is considerably tamer and less avant-garde. It's a striking hybrid of bent Egg and Scoop shapes, with the heel pleasantly rounded and the rim scalloped and forward-urging. An Oom Paul-like bend enables jaw-hanging comfort, while the shank's rise above the rim lends the bowl a drooping, hanging posture. It's all dressed in the Spongia's dense rustication, combining well with the substantial proportions for a delightful texture in hand. Presented unsmoked.
