A large, Fan-like Freehand from Savinelli's Autograph line, this impressive pipe was made by hand by one of the Italian marque's most distinguished artisans according to their personal vision, not standard shaping conventions. A select block of briar yielded a striking array of uniform grain, and the maker put it on full display with expansive flanks for flame grain to dance across. The striations blaze brilliantly under a smooth auburn finish, and erupt on the lengthy rim in an enticing array of natural plateau. There is plenty of briar here to produce a comforting feel in hand, and the nearly two-inch-deep chamber promises long, luxurious smoking sessions.
