Meaning "the clouds" in Italian, the Le Nuvole brand was created by Maurizio Tombari in 1996 after the respected pipe maker enjoyed a career at both Mastro de Paja and Ser Jacopo. This lengthy, stylized straight Dublin offers a length near six-and-a-half inches and substantial chamber capacity, yet keeps the overall weight quite light with trim dimensions and precise shaping. A rearward slant to its rim and some plump cheeking around the heel and transition give it a certain panache, while the honey-blond stain and smooth finish accentuate some really nice flame grain around the bowl. Less often seen from Italian makers, this pipe offers a sleek vulcanite saddle stem, contributing well to the classic notes blended with modern styling.
