Before beginning Le Nuvole in the mid 1990s, Maurizio Tombari was a pipe maker for Mastro de Paja and Ser Jacopo. Meaning "the clouds," Le Nuvole is Tombari's line of artisan pipes. Whimsical and unique, this Dublin from the Italian carver features a flare toward the rim and a low transition to the lengthy shank and stem arrangement. This rendition offers an impressive size and neoclassic proportions, with equally impressive flame grain around the bowl. A light smooth finish commends the grain quite well, and is accented by a handsome tapered cumberland stem out back. This fine pipe is still unsmoked.
