Italian Estates: Caminetto Smooth Bent Egg with Silver Wind Cap (0.L.12) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-006-34020

Known as "The Pipe with the Mustache," for the playful logo found on its stems, Caminetto was founded by Luigi Radice and Giuseppe Ascorti and is now run by Roberto and his son "Tommi" Ascorti. This bent Egg from the Italian workshop features a tall, robust, and tapering bent Egg, the muscular proportions assuring the bowl maintains the focal point of the composition. It's paired to a more slender shank that flares asymmetrically at its end, with a downturned, jet-black acrylic stem topping things off in back. Perhaps what most captures the eye here is the gleaming silver wind cap, a handsome accoutrement that's both visually striking and utilitarian, pairing well with the deep ruby stain of the stummel.
