Italian Estates: Caminetto Sandblasted Bent Billiard (06) (AT) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-006-34269
Tall of bowl and firm of heel, this bent Billiard from Caminetto fits well into the Italian workshop's penchant for robust shapes in lean sizes. The shank kicks high coming out of the muscular transition — reminiscent of an Oom Paul — before giving way to a deeply bent saddle stem of jet-black acrylic, lending the piece a considerable bit of height and striking a comfortable smoking posture. This piece wears a low-profile, ruby-tinged sandblasted finish that draws out growth rings that stack up the height of the bowl, accentuating its firm stature and height. Stamped "AT," this piece is the singular work of Tommaso "Tommi" Ascorti, grandson of workshop founder Giuseppe Ascorti. With a chamber capacity nearly two inches in depth, this piece should provide plenty of long, luxurious smoking sessions.
