Italian Estates: Rinaldo Triade Prince with Silver (3) (YY) Tobacco Pipe

While we have seen some slender, Prince-like bent Apple renditions from the Italian workshop, we've actually never received a true Prince from Rinaldo before, something that rather stuns me, as this is a lovely example of the classic shape. The stem takes on a demure arc as it ebbs out of the silver-adorned junction, and it is there paired to the ever-so-slightly upturned shank. A wide transition promotes easy draping of a thumb, working in concert with the supple curves of the plump bowl to give an excellent feel in hand. Said bowl showcases a touch more taper to the rim than we're used to seeing from this shape, though it works well, the walls informing this building from a sweeping heel. Finished in the warm stain of the Triade finish, the stummel here showcases some handsome grain all around, its hues contrasted handsomely by the silver band and black stem.
