This "D501" from T. Cristiano is a stocky, bowl-centric rendition of the classic Dublin shape. It lacks the steady taper that often defines the shape, with the rim and heel more or less harmoniously balanced. The rim, however, is chamfered, softening the overall form and assisting in loading of a favored blend. A craggy rustication dresses the bowl, while the rim and shank are left smooth for a bit of contrasting texture. A sterling silver accent graces the junction and provides a dose of flash to the pipe in profile. Presented unsmoked.
