This Bulldog from Tonino Jacono features a bold, muscular bowl that fills the hand with substance and cants dramatically at the fore of the composition. A crisp, well-defined beadline wraps around the bowl's waistline and demarcates the broad, rounded heel from the tapered rim. The bowl, in typical Italian neoclassical style, holds most of the visual weight within the composition, overshadowing the tapering diamond shank and slender saddle stem that trail out back. This handsome Rook-graded piece wears a walnut-hued smooth finish that highlight some gorgeous flame grain around the flanks and fore of the bowl.
