Balancing a stout-bodied, octagonally-paneled bowl with a deep transition and a good bit of Pesaro gesture through the shank and stem, this Il Ceppo bent Egg cuts quite a striking silhouette. Aside from aesthetics, it should also perform well when clenched in the jaw thanks to the stem's generous bend. The panels around the bowl add some firmness in hand, while each individual facet frames an abundance of lively flame grain. It's accented here with a sterling silver shank end fitment, which emulates the look of a spigot mount, though it's actually a standard tenon fit.
