Italian Estates: Ser Jacopo Picta Magritte Smooth Bent Billiard with Silver (L1) (C) (07) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-006-35176

Inspired by René Magritte's painting, The Pope's Crime from 1948, which depicts a man smoking several bent pipes at once, this bent Billiard from Ser Jacopo is part of the Pesaro workshop's Picta collection, which features pipes seen in classic art. A towering bowl with plenty of chamber capacity is presented here, with its heel quite voluptuous and set to a sinuously flowing S-curve for a sweeping profile. Dressed in a handsome, chestnut stain, highlighting lovely flame grain below, and further commended by an ornately designed silver band depicting the painter's flying doves, this "07" Magritte is a lovely, hearty handful.
