Italian Estates: Ser Jacopo Gem Series Bent Dublin with Gold Band (Granato) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-006-35150
Ser Jacopo's Gem Series is a unique one, using gemstones to identify its grading, all the way up to diamond. The line, in ascending order comprises Smeraldo ("Emerald"), Granato ("Garnet"), Zaffiro ("Sapphire"), and Rubino ("Ruby"), to Brillante ("Diamond") with this rendition being the Granato, identified by its tiny gemstone inlaid in the jet-black saddle stem. This bent Dublin is of a more moderate size than we often see from the Pesaro workshop, although it isn't small by any means. The hearty, Egg-shaped bowl displays a slightly inflated rim and dominates the focal point of the composition in Italian neoclassical style. It's paired to a far more slender, gently arcing shank and mouthpiece, with a trim gold ring at the shank end lending further flourish. The stummel is dressed in a warm auburn stain, highlighting handsome birdseye along the rim and heel, with tight-knit wisps of flame grain engulfing the bowl.
