Italian Estates: Savinelli Sandblasted with Silver (824 KS) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-006-35435
Even though Savinelli's shape chart is primarily comprised of designs that hew fairly close to traditional archetypes, the Italian marque also offers more creative renditions — those that combine the design characteristics of several classic pipe shapes. The "824 KS" is one such piece, pairing a Lumberman's elongated, oval shank and abbreviated saddle stem to a bold, Brandy-like bowl. What truly sets this design apart, though, is its slightly bent posture: The stem is subtly downturned, and the shank angles upward from the transition, lending prominence to the bowl's firm heel and informing the profile's forward-jutting aesthetic. This particular example is dressed in a dark sandblast and regally adorned with sterling silver.
