This bent Dublin from Castello features a tall bowl that flares from its firm, rounded heel, cinches subtly at its waistline, and then continues to a broad rim. The angle of the fore wall urges the bowl forward a bit, lending some dynamism to the shape in profile. The bowl, in typical Italian neoclassical style, holds most of the visual weight within the composition, overshadowing the comparatively slender shank-and-stem arrangement that curls out back. The bowl houses a respectably deep chamber capacity within its thick insulating walls, which ensure ensure plenty of long, leisurely smoking sessions. The warm honey-blonde Castello smooth finish dresses the stummel and highlights fine strands of flame grain across the bowl, its light tones having darkened with patina as it's been smoked, the flickering tendrils rising to a rim crowned with plateau.
