This Lovat from Mimmo Provenzano very neatly displays the Italian carver's skill in rendering Anglo-French classics in subtly neoclassical proportions. When I say this, I specifically mean to point to the bowl, with its height rising to nearly two inches, while the length of the overall piece pushes just a hair over five. Despite this, everything about this pipe looks just right, with the elongated shank and trim stem giving it a sleekness that balances out the heft of the bowl. It's dressed in a warm auburn stain, highlighting some lively licks of flame on the flanks.
