Castello's "Occhio di Pernice" stamp is reserved for pipes that bear exceptional birdseye, as evidenced by this bold, muscular Billiard. The bowl here boasts an Egg-like build, displaying rounded flanks that cascade into a drooping heel. Out back, the shank kicks high out of the low-set transition and flares into a steeply curved stem of jet-black acrylic. The shank-and-stem arrangement's upward climb ensures a comfortable smoking posture from which to enjoy the bowl's capacious chamber capacity. A warm auburn stain dresses the stummel and brilliantly highlights the birdseye across the bowl's flanks. Said birdseye dots the sides of the bowl and forms a constellation of grain that's truly stunning.
