An older Castello piece, this "25" straight Dublin perfectly exemplifies the Italian workshop's approach to dramatizing the proportions of classic English shapes and making them much more bolder and muscular. The rather squat, broad bowl on this piece exhibits a touch of forward cant and houses a generously deep chamber within its thick insulating walls. Said bowl's powerful presence is further accentuated by being paired to lengthy, sleekly tapering stem with a rhinestone set into its side, used to indicate a Castello pipe made for the U.S. market. And with the rugged texture of the Sea Rock Briar rustication, paired to a vibrant ruby stain, this is a pipe you'll find difficult to put down for long.
