Tightly knit and compact in size, this bent Apple from Castello measures just a touch over five inches in total length yet features a rather plump bowl comprised of thick, insulating walls. Extending from the muscular, low-set transition, the shank-and-stem arrangement curls into a steep, vertically inclined S-curve that adds a considerable bit of height to the design and provides a comfortable posture for easy, comfortable jaw-hanging. The stummel wears a copper-hued rendition of the Old Antiquari sandblast that coaxes out rippling growth rings across the flanks of the bowl. For a touch of visual and tactile contrast, the rim is left smooth and stained a blond color.
