The Ser Jacopo motto stamped on every pipe is, "Per Aspera Ad Astra," which roughly translates to, "To the stars through great effort." While the bowl of this straight Billiard doesn't reach quite outer space, it seems to be headed there, with a height past two inches and a stout, rounded bowl that reminds me of a rocket fuselage. Furthering the sleek aesthetic, a dark auburn stain highlights flame grain about the bowl, especially resplendent on the right flank. An arrow-straight shank-and-stem combination stretches out back like the tail of a rocket, its build and proportions balancing well with the muscular bowl. Unsmoked.
