This "23" straight Apple from Castello is rendered in Italian neoclassic fashion, the soft-rimmed, round, and flat-bottomed bowl dominating the sleek shank-and-stem arrangement. Dramatized proportions aside, perhaps the most compelling element of this pipe is its briar push-style stem, heretofore not a part of the regular Castello lineup. It's fitted to a jet-black mount, allowing the pipe to be easily broken down. This Collection piece is dressed in one of the workshop's handsome honey-blonde stains, showcasing a gorgeous, mixed array of grain. The bowl presents stunning wisps of straight grain along with growth rings in a dazzling display that in itself is quite eye catching.
