Deeply bent and handsomely shaped, this bent Billiard from T. Cristiano presents with an easy smoking posture that lends itself well to jaw-hanging, with a deep bend through the shank and stem. The transition is rather tight and the bowl is supple, full, and charmingly rounded, the undercurve it makes in concert with the tapered stem and sweeping heel serving to accentuate the sinuousness of this piece. Dressed in a texturally rich rustication, earthy stain, and paired to a band of silver at the shank end, this pipe will make for a lovely workhorse. Unsmoked.
