Italian Estates: Ser Jacopo Picta Magritte Sandblasted Bent Pot with Silver (08) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-006-37069
Belgian painter René Magritte is further immortalized by this Hawkbill from Ser Jacopo. Inspired by a lesser drawing from the famous artist, this piece is in a Hawkbill shape, with the bowl plump, the rim gently chamfered, and the curvature of the shank and stem primarily provided by their undersweep, which curves dramatically from the bowl and then expands slightly at the base of the stem. The sandblast admirably highlights the consistent, horizontal growth rings, and the earthy brown stain is contrasted by the lighter stained, smooth nomenclature panel and the elegant sterling silver accent.
