Italian Estates: Ser Jacopo Domina 2003 Partially Sandblasted Bent Brandy with Silver (49) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-006-37072
An annually released limited edition series, Ser Jacopo's Domina line comprises a single shape across various finishes, with the shape itself varied every year. The line has become something of a tradition, with a new iteration having been produced each year since 1996, every one distinct from the ones that have preceded it, for instance, the shape made for 2021 was a singular Calabash interpretation. This example, however, was crafted for 2003 and manifests as a Brandy-like bent Billiard that showcases some robust plumpness about the bowl. Said bowl takes on an arcing taper to the bowl from its low-set waistline and urges forward quite nicely from out of the transition. From here, the shank ebbs out and lifts to meet a demurely curved saddle stem of jet-black acrylic at a junction marked by a stylized silver band. Dressed in a warm partial sandblast, the underside is full with texture while the top of the stummel showcases handsome grain, a single beadline below the rim lending it a soft, domed look.
