Italian Estates: Caminetto Rusticated Bent Dublin (8.L.14) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-006-36874

A sinuously bent Dublin from the Caminetto workshop, this piece showcases their skill in rendering pipes of a decidedly neoclassical leaning. The overall shaping here is Saxophone-like, with a plunging curvature through the shank and stem that leads the eye toward the bowl and over the aft side's diamond shape. This diamond paneling is not only unique, but adds some firm-line muscularity to the profile that's quite impressive. Up front, the bowl sits atop a pointed heel and takes on a striking flare to the rim, urging forward as it does and presenting a broad rim that overlooks a capacious chamber. Dressed in a craggy, inky-stained rustication, this piece is full of texture and is primed for easy jaw-hanging thanks to the deep bend of the saddle stem.
