This Rhodesian from Ascorti is a stout take on the classic shape, posing a wide, thick-walled bowl at the fore of a comparatively lithe shank-and-stem arrangement. The bowl offers plenty of substance for the fingers to embrace, and displays the form's characteristic beadline, which demarcates the tapered rim from the bulbous, subtly lifted heel. The shank and stem's high-kicking stance encourages a comfortable smoking posture and adds a good bit of verticality to the composition, while the terracotta-hued Business rustication dresses the stummel and offers a wealth of tactile detail to the briar.
