This aptly named Gigante piece from L'Anatra is a boldly proportioned design, in keeping with the Italian marque's idiosyncratic style. A distinctive Freehand, the bowl is quite stretched from fore to aft, with slim walls creating an elongated, yet voluptuous silhouette. A firm central ridge defines the fore of the piece, running from the beveled rim to the curvaceous heel, while the bowl itself is poised at the fore of a high-kicking shank that joins a metal-accented stem of deeply bent acrylic. Dressed in a rich mahogany stain, the bowl boasts fine flame grain at the flanks, while the rim and heel are populated by swathes of birdseye.
