The dress black finish is difficult to achieve, and Castello experimented mightily before finding techniques adequate for the established prestige of the marque, but the results have been spectacular since the inception of this finish. A tall, cylindrical bowl rises from a soft transition, and the gently tapering shank-and-stem combination offer smooth lines and a pleasing profile for a pipe with classic distinction.
