Ardor was founded in 1974 by father-son duo Angelo and Dorelio Rovera. Today, Damiano and Dimitri Rovera continue the workshop's family legacy. Ardor pipes begin with classical shapes, which are sublimely crafted into wholly original creations. A curvaceous rendition of an uncommon shape, this bent Egg from Ardor's Fantasy series features a forward-urging bowl that flows organically into the shank, which flares towards its terminus. The shapely stummel is dressed in the tar-black stain of Ardor's signature Urano sandblast, except for the rim, which shines with an auburn smooth finish that highlights pinpricks of birdseye. The black-and-yellow acrylic of the stem and expansion ring are separated by a silver band near the tenon, which is part of a traditional push-style system.
